I enrolled my daughter in a school with generally good teachers, a great atmosphere, and a decent rating. Her first-grade teacher was absolutely wonderful, and the class was very friendly. In 5th and 6th grade, the kids were split into different tracks: some went for a second language, others for math, but my daughter stayed with her same group of friends. In 7th grade, almost everyone was reassigned, and my daughter seemed to end up in a math class, but everyone there was unfamiliar. And they're older. Mine started 8th grade, she's almost 13, and everyone else is a year or a year and a half older. And they behave absolutely terribly. She sits at the front desk, and boys walk by and kick her desk, throw pens and paper at her back, and call her names. She's asking to be transferred to any other class with her friends from 1st grade. I'm all for it, we'll do it. But I want them to get what they deserve, I'm so outraged!!! Going to the homeroom teacher? They don't care. What about the principal? Any advice?
