Ladies, can you advise? The pediatrician sent my youngest on sick leave from Tuesday to Friday, even though they only got sick on Wednesday with a cough and runny nose. We're scheduled to see the pediatrician to check the blood test results for my middle and youngest. For the youngest, they'll be checking for viral pneumonia or something else, and for the middle one, we need to understand why their lymph node is inflamed. They were still healthy and symptom-free at their last appointment. The youngest had a dry, infrequent cough for over a week, but it got worse at night, which is why the tests were ordered. We planned to do the tests on Friday, but that's when their illness peaked. So, I've scheduled them to get their blood drawn on Monday, and then we'll see the pediatrician again once the results are back. Is it possible to book an appointment specifically with the pediatrician, rather than going to the ORVI (acute respiratory viral infection) clinic? It's been 6 days now, and I think they're no longer contagious. I'm worried they'll catch something else at the ORVI clinic, as there are sick people there 😢
