We'll have a 16-year age gap, I can't even imagine what that's like

My husband and his sister have a similar age gap. He helped his mother a lot. Because of that, he already knew what to do with our baby. Everything depends on you. My husband and his sister have a great relationship, they call each other, they help each other out, but they are both strong adults now.

There are 12 years between my kids, and they still interact because I sometimes ask my older one to help with the younger one.
Later, they'll have a common interest: 'aging mom and caring for her' :)
And after I'm gone, maybe they won't stay in touch, and that's okay.
I barely talk to my brother (we're a year apart), we exchange a few words on WhatsApp once a year, and that's it. We last saw each other in person 7 years ago.
I think it's not about age but about personality; I just don't have the need to communicate.
And I have a friend who stays in touch with all her cousins, no matter the age difference (some are half the age of her kids).

They do interact, of course. They live in the same territory, at least. My older ones, 12.5 and 10.5 years old, interact with their daughter. Both play with her, and they do it because they want to.

There's almost a 15-year age gap with my younger brother. I loved him when he was little, we even slept together until he was about three. Then we drifted apart and stopped communicating much. Now we only talk when it's necessary.

My brother and I have a 14-year age gap. I vaguely remember him when I was 4, and then when I was 18, he left to study and then lived on his own 😅
