My daughter is 8 years old. Has anyone else experienced this? This is my first time dealing with it.

Stress, lack of micronutrients (copper, zinc, selenium), heredity

Mine also has one gray hair, probably since she was about 6. No new ones are growing, and I don't worry about it.

I've had a small gray streak since I was about five.

My older one already has some, for a long time now.
It's genetic. My husband's whole family, on his father's side, both men and women, get gray hair very early. His father was completely gray by around 40-45. My husband has about half his head gray, but it's not very noticeable because he keeps his hair cut short.

My son had one hair that seemed to be without pigment, but it didn't really look gray.

My youngest was born with dark hair and a patch of white hair. It's still like that. Turns out it's a birthmark. So, they'll always grow white. Maybe you have that too, just smaller.

My husband had half his head of gray hair back in college, so I wouldn't be surprised if his started appearing around age 8. Now, at 33, about 70% of his hair is gray.
