Remember when I asked about female and male sea buckthorn plants? Here's the backstory: I had two sea buckthorn trees in my yard (shared with neighbors) – a male and a female. The female produced fruit, and the male helped her. A neighbor changed, and the new one didn't like the tree growing nearby and blocking the sun, so he broke it while we were away. We were without fruit for three years. I decided to plant a new young tree – a male one. I ordered it and planted it closer to our house. They sold it to me with a pollinating bud, so I was expecting berries this year. But I didn't account for this. My female sea buckthorn shot up in growth over these three years and is now as tall as the second floor. And the berries are hanging on it now, but for some ridiculous reason, only at the very top. There are none at the bottom!!! No idea how to get them, lol))) I can't even reach them with a ladder.
