Something isn't right with how I'm feeling. I keep pacing back and forth and feel like I can't think straight. Ladies, everyone in the ward has already given birth; one woman went into labor this morning, and there are more to come. I'm tolerating the injections; there will be more, as after a cesarean. Today they'll also take a swab—that's the plan for now, but I can't sleep or sit still—nothing helps. I'm alone in the ward; I tried to reassure everyone, but inside it's like a battlefield. My baby girl has been quieter today as well—less movement, very little, but it seems okay. I'm still acting strange: my heart is beating oddly and I can't shake it from my head. I lie here and don't know: I can't lie still, I can't figure out where to put myself, I don't know the baby. I'm waiting for an injection into my butt at 12:00, then I’ll walk until 14:00; my brain is overloaded, at 14:30 there'll be something else. Then until 18:00 I walk again. At 20:00 I'll have dinner for the last time, then I'll probably start getting ready to leave: shower, shave, bags, etc. The anesthesiologist still needs to come. Ugh... time is dragging on, with nothing to do.
